The Freddi, scientifically known as Parachromis Friedrichsthalii or Yellow Jacket, is a visually stunning Guapote. When fully mature, these fish showcase a remarkable yellow base color adorned with distinctive black banding. Although primarily carnivorous, introducing occasional vegetal-based pellets and foods can add nutritional variety to their diet in the aquarium.

Maintaining optimal water quality is crucial for these fish, as they are sensitive to poor conditions. Regular and thorough cleaning, along with diligent water changes, is essential to preserve their vibrant coloration and overall well-being. Originating from Central America, they thrive in a pH range of 6-7 and a tropical temperature between 24°C and 30°C.

As egg layers, Freddi begins at a modest size of approximately 5cm, eventually growing to an impressive length of around 30cm. The sex of these captivating fish is unsexed.
