Thick Lip Gourami (Orange)
Trichogaster labiosa
Overview
The Orange Thick Lip Gourami is a vibrant colour variety of Trichogaster labiosa, known for its bright orange to red body and calm temperament. Native to slow-moving waters in Southeast Asia, this gourami is a hardy and attractive species that works well in peaceful community aquariums. Like other gouramis, it possesses a labyrinth organ, allowing it to breathe atmospheric air from the surface.
