Overview
The Red Rainbowfish is one of the most striking rainbowfish species, famous for the intense red coloration displayed by mature males. Native to Lake Sentani in Papua, Indonesia, this active schooling fish thrives in well-maintained aquariums with plenty of swimming space. Their constant movement and shimmering colours make them a fantastic feature species for large community aquariums.
Males develop deeper bodies and brilliant red tones, while females remain more silver with subtle colour.
