Diet

Tankmates include other mbuna of similar size and temperament.
Avoid housing with delicate or peaceful community fish.
Breeding
Maternal mouthbrooder.
Females carry eggs and fry in their mouths for around 3 weeks.
Provide flat rocks or caves for spawning sites.
Fry can be fed powdered flakes and baby brine shrimp.
