Mystus Catfish (Mystus Vttatus)

The Mystus Catfish is a small, active, and hardy species native to rivers and streams across South and Southeast Asia. Known for its sleek body and striking horizontal stripes, this catfish brings a touch of wild character to freshwater aquariums. It is particularly popular among hobbyists looking for something a little more unusual than the typical community catfish.

Mystus catfish are nocturnal, fast-moving, and predatory toward very small tankmates, but they remain peaceful with similarly sized or larger fish. Their graceful swimming and striking appearance make them a standout in larger community tanks with other semi-aggressive species.
