The Moss Green Tiger Barb is a striking colour variety of the classic Tiger Barb, featuring a deep metallic green body with flashes of gold, orange and red through the fins. They are active, hardy schooling fish that make an excellent addition to lively community aquariums.
Tiger Barbs are very social and should be kept in groups of at least 6, with larger groups of 8–10 or more preferred. Keeping a good-sized school allows them to establish their natural hierarchy and helps reduce fin-nipping toward other fish.
They are best housed with other active, similarly sized fish. Slow-moving or long-finned species such as Bettas and fancy Guppies are generally best avoided.
Moss Green Tiger Barbs are omnivorous and readily accept a varied diet of quality flakes and pellets along with frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia and bloodworms.
