Longfin Common Bristlenose
Ancistrus sp.
The Longfin Common Bristlenose is a popular and hardy pleco species, prized for its algae-eating ability and flowing, elegant finnage. A variant of the standard Bristlenose Pleco, this fish has extended tail and pectoral fins, giving it a graceful appearance as it glides along the aquarium glass or decor. Males develop distinctive facial bristles, while females remain smoother-faced.
Bristlenose plecos are peaceful bottom dwellers that help control algae growth and thrive in a wide range of water conditions. They're ideal for community tanks and are much more manageable in size compared to larger plecos like the Common or Sailfin varieties.
