Species Overview
Haplochromis sp. ‘Kyoga Flameback’ is a colourful Victorian Basin cichlid known for the male’s golden body, red flame-like dorsal marking, and iridescent blue face. Females are more subdued with light beige and silver tones. This is an active, hardy species and one of the more eye-catching Victorians. Best kept in spacious tanks with rockwork to manage aggression.
