The Bala Shark, also known as the Silver Shark, is a striking, torpedo-shaped schooling fish recognised for its bright metallic silver body and bold, black-edged fins. Despite its name, it is not a true shark — instead, it’s a peaceful, highly active species that thrives in large groups. Bala Sharks make impressive display fish but require spacious aquariums, excellent filtration, and plenty of swimming room. Best suited for experienced hobbyists with larger setups.
